Why an MRI?
Doctors use an MRI to get a really good look at parts of your body, like brains, bones, and even hearts!
It's like a giant doughnut! You lie on a bed that slides into the center of this big circle.
You'll need to remove metal objects because the MRI is like a super-strong magnet.
It’s best to stay still, but a tiny giggle won’t hurt. Just try not to move too much!
Moving too much can blur the pictures, just like when you wiggle your camera while taking a photo.
MRIs are noisy. You might hear loud knocks and buzzes, kind of like a drum solo!
If the sounds bother you, you can wear headphones and listen to music.
It can take about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on what pictures the doctor needs.
Doctors look at the MRI images to check if everything's A-okay inside.
