Diabetes Check
If you have diabetes, your body uses insulin differently, which is important to remember before an MRI.
Always tell your doctor you have diabetes before your MRI appointment.
Eat your regular meal before the MRI but follow any special instructions your doctor may give.
Take your diabetes medicine as usual unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
Before going for your MRI, check your blood sugar to make sure it's okay.
Have a small snack with you in case your MRI is delayed and you need to eat.
MRI scans are safe and don't hurt. Staying calm helps the scan go smoothly.
Check your sugar levels again after the MRI, just to be safe.
